The Perspective of Movies and Animations

I feel as though I have been able to experience more than just watching movies and animations lately. It wasn’t a big change at first. Maybe I would shed a tear when an emotional part comes up, but I haven’t thought of more of the scenes. Now that I watch a lot of movies and animations, I take into account the background of the people and how the writers can incorporate the story to build up tension. On youtube, I have been watching video essays of how people analyze movies and their significance. Their insight had kind of inspired me to pay more attention when watching movies. It really helped with analyzing situations and how the character works around them. I noticed that different regions have different ways to portray emotional feelings towards the watchers. Western movies usually set up the character to be likable, charismatic, or try to center around the character. In contrast, Eastern movies tend to have the main character, however, focus more on the situation which helps make a more relatable connection with the watchers since they empathize with the character. I have become a lot more observant over the past few months and I will try to use this to my advantage when analyzing situations in my own life as well.
